Vancouver’s Great Northern Way Campus (GNWC) is a unique, collaborative university campus environment that combines the strength of four leading academic institutions: University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design, and the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

GNWC opened its doors in September 2007 to its first Masters class in its Masters of Digital Media (MDM) Program, an innovative, full-time professional graduate degree housed in Vancouver’s Centre for Digital Media. An urban campus, GNWC has the mandate to intersect the arts, technology and the environment in a manner that bridges academia with industry, artists with technology, and innovation with development. It is an integrative environment that builds community and celebrates innovation.

During the 20-month program, including a paid summer internship, you will develop the professional skills required to be effective a creator, practitioner and senior manager in the rapidly growing digital media industry.

We offer one master`s level graduate program. Unlike larger schools, our smaller classes guarantee a personal academic experience. MDM graduate students can take advantage of building relationships with instructors and their classmates.
